Are you or do you know a 6th-12th grader concerned about the dramatic increase in Islamophobia and anti-Muslim hate crimes in the U.S.? Wondering what kind of action can be taken in your own community? Well, now is the time to “Make Your Voice Heard!”

On January 15, 2017 from 1-5pm, join Aneelah Afzali from MAPS-AMEN (American Muslim Empowerment Network), staff from Kids4Peace , and other interfaith and media leaders for “Make Your Voice Heard: An MLK Day Youth Advocacy Workshop.” This four-hour workshop will empower youth with the tools to speak out publicly against Islamophobia, with a particular emphasis on using media to tell positive personal stories.
