Community Briefing on Public Charge & Fee Waiver Policies

Date:
Monday, November 19, 2018 - 5:30pm to 7:30pm
Location:
Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS)
Please join Asian Counseling and Referral Service and Northwest Immigrant Rights Project for a community briefing and advocacy event on proposed changes to public charge and citizenship fee waiver policies.

This event will provide information about proposed changes to who could be deemed a 'public charge', which may make them ineligible for legal permanent resident (LPR) status (also known as receiving a green card), and how the citizenship fee waiver eligibility may change.

As these are still proposed changes, there is a 60 day period during which the public can provide comments with feedback on the proposals. We will also be offering attendees an opportunity to mobilize and provide public comments on these proposals.

We are happy to announce that Congressman Adam Smith will also be attending to deliver remarks on the fee waiver and public charge issues.

RSVP is requested but not required. Please RSVP and send any questions to CivicVoice@acrs.org.

Free refreshments will be served.
