Flights & Rights is our regularly scheduled community series featuring important civil rights issues and great beverages. This month, we build community virtually, so grab your beverage of choice and meet us online or via phone.

Learn about the failures of the War on Drugs and its racist history, Oregon’s recent drug decriminalization victory, the Washington Supreme Court case (State v. Blake) that temporarily decriminalized drug possession, and the future of drug policy reform here in Washington. Panelists include Commit to Change WA Steering Committee members: Ret. Police Captain Les Liggins, Carmen Pacheco-Jones, and Everett Maroon. Moderated by Alison Holcomb, ACLU-WA Political Director.

Ring in fall with this month's beverage partner: Put a mango lassi or cup of chai on the ACLU's tab at Spice Waala, with locations in Ballard and Capitol Hill. Mention the ACLU from Tuesday 9/28 through Saturday 10/2.

One of the best parts of Flights & Rights? Connecting with our community – and this includes beverage partners across the state! Without them, there would be no Flights with our Rights!
