We The People: An Evening with the ACLU's Anthony Romero

Date:
Tuesday, April 17, 2018 - 6:00pm to 8:00pm
Location:
The Moore Theatre
National ACLU Executive Director, Anthony Romero discusses the fight for civil rights and liberties in the era of Trump. Romero took the helm of the ACLU in 2001 and led the organization through remarkable expansion during the Bush and Obama years. Yet, since the election of Donald Trump, the ACLU has been called upon like never before to protect the rights of everyone. Attacks on immigrants, religious freedom, LGBT equality, women’s rights, voting rights, and more, have kept the ACLU fighting harder than ever. Join us for Romero’s inside perspective on defending our democracy every day.

Tickets are $5. Doors open at 6pm and program beings at 7pm.
Prior to the program there will be opportunities to speak with ACLU volunteers and staff, take action and learn more about getting involved.
