Victory! Death Penalty Repeal Passes Senate. We Need You in the House!

Thanks to your activism, SB 6052, which repeals the death penalty in Washington State, passed the Senate with a vote of 26-22! Now the bill moves to the House and we need help from you and other activists living in the 43^rd legislative district. Lawmakers will be holding a town hall meeting on Saturday, February 17, 2018, in Capitol Hill. Please attend and tell Speaker Chopp and Representative Macri how important it is to repeal the death penalty. Determined and courageous Senators from both sides of the aisle voted Wednesday to strengthen Washington State’s criminal justice system by repealing the death penalty. We will have signs to help you thank Senator Pedersen, who led the effort on the Senate floor. Attached is a flyer that explains the legislation and what the media has been saying in support.
